Disposable
In this collection I wanted to portray the restrictive and unhealthy societal expectations of the world on us all. I wanted to explore the mental strain of being washed of all of our natural creativity and pushed to work for a
"better" life that is now unobtainable.
I referenced historical and psychiatric wear to draw similarities between the traditional office environment where you are strapped to your chair all day and the restrictive and inhumane treatment historically given by psychiatric
institutions. I also wanted to use different thrifted office shirts as my choice of fabric and thrifted belts as straps to represent the disorientation of our minds as we grow up and are forced to channel our minds in to work instead of our passions.

Convergence
This collection draws inspiration from the convergence of East and West, examining the complex relationship between the two and how they have perceived one another throughout history. It focuses particularly on the 1920s, a period when Orientalism remained influential in the West while the East was undergoing rapid modernization.

Coat (Convergence)
Inspired by coats from the 1920s, this coat combines the futuristic aesthetics of the time with historical Han dynasty aesthetics.
